A Week with the Cousins

My sister and her kids came into town from California and spent a week with us. We all had a great time! We packed each day with a couple of activities to keep the kids busy. I was completely exhausted by the end of the week, but it was worth it!
We all took our annual "hike" around Silver Lake at Brighton. It was so nice and cool there, we just love it!

Elsa and Evan pointing at the wildlife.

We had a picnic with my cute Grandma in Kaysville. When Gracie was little she used to call her "Grape Grammy"! So cute!

We spent the day at This is the Place Heritage Park. It was a highlight of the week. If you have not been this year, I highly recommend it. The kids loved going in all the houses and learning about pioneer life. But I think their favorite part was making Indian arrowhead necklaces.

We went to the Temple Open house. It was beautiful!

We ate lots of Snow Cones to keep cool!

We also spent an afternoon at the Thanksgiving Point Gardens. We were all hot and sweaty but had fun. The kids love feeding these fish.

We watched fireworks on Pioneer Day with the Wards and the Dayleys. Nathan Ward put on a great show for us all. It was fun!

Emily and Gracie playing with sparklers. Jill and I felt like we did not even see these two all week. They would just go off together. I am so glad we both have girls to hang out together. They are just about 3 years apart, but have a great time with each other!

Ethan and BJ just watching the fireworks. These two were not too thrilled about holding the sparklers, maybe next year. It is so fun to have a cousin the same age. They had a fun time together!

Wow you are quite the hiker at 8+ months PG. The kids are sure cute. And so are you! So nice to have the cousins together they look like they are loven every minute of it. Your Grandma is so cute.
It has been years since we have been to Heritage Park. Fun Day.
Now you have another Temple close by. We still have 2 1/2 hours to get to either the LA Temple or the Redlands Temple which is a smaller Temple.
