On Thursday night Ethan had his first Boy Scouts Pinewood Derby. He was so cute and had so much fun! Here is his car... He picked the color and the shape. He had fun sanding and painting the car. Well, a little of the shape came out of necessity since while drilling it, a piece of the back broke off. So, the fins came out of that.
Ethan was so excited for the race. He said he didn't care if he won he just didn't want to come in last place. At one point during the races, I asked Ethan if he was alright because he was just pacing around.
There were 4 heats and Ethan's car won all of his races.
There were lots of people there. When all the races were over we had to wait a couple of minutes for the final score. It was an amazingly close race.... we could not believe it!
Ethan won first place!
He said he would remember this night forever. I think I will too!

Congrats to Ethan..that is seriously impressive and he will remember it forever. Resume fodder?
It did my heart good to see your kids coordinated for the Halloween party. They are so cute.
